Evaluation Poster

I got ideas off multiply things like LEGO and The LEGO Movie. I looked at YouTube clips of the adverting campaign where Lego was adverting though existing adverts. They did those adverts because a family will see it and what to go to see the movie in cinemas.

In my poster it shows my character meeting the leader of the resistance. My poster has bright colors and red writing; it is used a lot in comedy films and bright colors are used in kids’ movies to make a charm feel to the movie. My character goes a save the LEGO Universe for a plague.

I choose to do a poster for my movie, I had four mock up ideas I had to pick out one from those ideas, and I went outside to take pictures for the background of my poster, my target audience is 5-11 unsex film, I feel like it reflect my genre. I select this idea because I think it was best for my movie.

My first poster has a big LEGO head with the villain and is very simple; the advantage is that it simple, the disadvantage is that it got no action. I did not use this because I did not like it.
Description: homedir:10MWestlake:Downloads:photo%201-7.JPG
My second poster has my character fighting a plague monster; the advantage is that it got an action scene; the disadvantage is that it’s a simple fight scene. I did not use this because I feel like it wasn’t needed.
Description: homedir:10MWestlake:Downloads:photo%202-7.JPG
My third poster has my character standing next another character; the advantage is it that it has another character in it; the disadvantage is that its got no action in it.
Description: homedir:10MWestlake:Downloads:photo%203-6.JPG
My fourth poster has a big LEGO head and a spaceship orbit a plant; the advantage is that its got two thing going on; the disadvantage is that its does not look good. I did not use this because I did feel right for the movie.

I took photo of a door and a storage place, I use an iPad to take the pictures the reason I took those is because my main character is a builder. My final poster is suitable for my target audience and I feel that I have correctly responded to my brief. It is creative and interesting and has good quality photographs I also feel the it give a clear message.

Final Brief - Advertising a new film release

The title of my film is Small Things it will be an comedy for 5-11 it will be an unisex film my media will be a poster. My movie is about a LEGO man called Dave who fall down a hole into a secret base and it's up to him to save the world from a black darkness that plague the LEGO universe. At the start he wakes up and goes to work as a Builder as he walks to the station as he goes along the pavement a hole open up and he falls down it in to the secret base. In the middle he's fighting and destroying plague strongholds all over the LEGO universe to free the people of the LEGO universe but time is running if he is to destroy the Boss. At the end he's fighting his way up to the Boss for the finial fight he must win in order to save the LEGO universe from the plague and free the people.

This is Despicable Me 2. The color is dark and has a Halloween like look but the sound is funny and silly and there actions make the minions child like and huggable.
This is Garfield 2. The color is bright and colorful and the dialog makes this film funny and Garfield actions are silly.

This is Mr Popper's Penguins. The color is bight and colorful and acting is funny and make you laugh out loud. The penguins are lovable and huggable.

I choose this poster because it is has more detail and look nicer than the other ones.

Step 1: first I got my background, a door, and then I wrote the title of the film and the release date.
Step 2: I imported my Lego man on to my background and started to make a composite image.
Step 3: I finished compositing my first Lego man on to the background.
Step 4: I started my second Lego man which I imported in.
Step 5: I finished both the first and second Lego people then I enlarged them.

We did a studio and location photography where I use studio lights to take pictures of trainers I didn’t take a picture of the outside.
I choose the picture where the trainers were one was on top of another I then took pictures of records.
When I made the poster I painted the images on using the compose method.
I put my poster on a billboard in a station.
